Deck Review #1 (Part 2)

Hi everyone! Sorry for not posting this part up earlier as I was busy with work and other stuff. Anyway, this review is going to be about the other 2 deck-types of gladiator beast, Rescue Gladiators and Standard Gladiators.

Rescue Gladiators

This decktype was very powerful during the 2 cat and 2 priest era... This deck utilizes Rescue Cat to bring out either 2 Gladiator Beast Samnites for attacking, a Test Tiger and a Gladiator Beast Samnite to get rid of either traps or monsters, as the Test Tiger is able to tag out the Gladiator Beast Samnite into either a Gladiator Beast Bestiari to get rid of backrow, a Gladiator Beast Murmillo to get rid of opposing monsters, and even a Gladiator Beast Darius to revive a fallen Gladiator Beast to push for more damage, and lastly, for a quick synchro summon using a X-Saber Airbellum and Gladiator Beast Samnite or Test Tiger. However, this deck was weakened due to the restriction of both Summon Priest and Rescue Cat.

Here is a sample decklist for this deck-type in the current format:

2x Gladiator Beast Laquari
2x Gladiator Beast Darius
2x Gladiator Beast Samnite
2x Gladiator Beast Equeste

Total: 40

Another deck-type I will talking about is the standard Gladiator Beast deck, AKA the Prisma Gladiator Beast. It was the reigning decktype during the mid 2008 format, as well as during the World Championship 2008. The main aim of this deck was to maintain control over the field by using the effects of the various Gladiator Beasts, as well as use Elemental Hero Prisma to be able to contact easily. However, when Gladiator Beast Bestiarii was limited to 1, this decktype became much slower than before, and if you send Gladiator Beast Bestiarii to the graveyard, it will become vulnerable to D.D Crow and other types of graveyard removal cards. Now, this decktype focuses on using control cards to keep the player's monsters on the field, and remove the opponents monsters from the field. Shrink, Enemy Controller and Book of Moon are cards that are ran in triplicate, and it help to make sure that your monsters are able to run down your opponents monsters. A sample decklist can be seen below.

3x Gladiator Beast Laquari
2x Gladiator Beast Equeste
1x Gladiator Beast Darius
